Pusoy-2 Club
It used to be either Tong-its or Pusoy-2. Lately it has been only pusoy-2 and when they start playing, they just can't stop. The "last" game is actually the 3rd or 4th, or 5th to the last and the one who always says, "this hand is a guaranteed winner," usually loses (guess who? :p) and the one who's on the losing streak is usually the one who says, "last game. I'll definitely win this one." But he loses and so it's not the last game.... But these guys only play for fun --not just the fun of playing poker but more than anything, the fun of making fun of each other! Yes, they play poker for fun and while at it, they poke on each other for fun! No quarters, no bucks, just the pure anadulterated pleasure of being able to play cards. You could hear the laughter from a mile away and when you look at their faces, they're truly enjoying themselves ---- even when they're losing and even if the only thing they get when they win is the fact that they don't have to shuffle and deal the cards for the next round.
The Pusoy-2 Club regulars are Au, Marvs, Noel, Cat, and Rob. Obet is an avid spectator and cheerleader. Last Saturday night, GM and our guest from PI, Rommel provided the background music (don't ask!). The rest of us are substitute/alternate players for anyone who needs to take a bathroom brake or got hungry. The game can't stop so alternates should be on the stand-by anytime. The alternates are Ronald, Christine, Roland, Chris M., and of course, ME Myself and I!
Of course, I get to have the extra pleasure of poking fun at the club and its members through this blog...hehehe!
So, are we bored or are we bored?!?!?!

Pusoy-dos,gusto ko yan! You and your friends do seem to be having fun out there. You don't seem bored at all. You are finding fun ways to spend your time when you couldn't go out because of the weather. That should be good.
As usual, take care and enjoy life always!

What's Pusoy-2? How do you play it? Looks like another article is on the way for what and how to play Pusoy-2.
:-D Amanda
To me, playing pusoy dos is like playing the game of life. You play with the cards you're dealt with. Sometimes you have a good hand, don't waste it, use those 2's efficiently. Sometimes you have a bad hand, take some risks to have a chance to win.
When I play Pusoy Dos, I always go all or nothing. Dramatic victory is better than winning on the sheer strength of the cards. I want to be the first to run out of cards, if I'm not the first, to me the game anticlimactic. I also like to entertain the people as I play. So occasionally I would do things for 'shock' value, such as putting all my Two's in one hand, or dropping them one after the other.
I like pusoy-dos too! It is a fun card game especially when I'm winning. He he he. I'm such a sore loser.

<--still can't over the sting gig. i can't believe he only took off a jacket! what good is that?
<--is sorry for not having visited your blog in a while but hey, look I'm back!!!
Rob, I agree. Placing second or third makes the game anticlimactic but you have to admit, it's much better than being the last one with any cards left. The version of the game that we play is actually a modefied version of the original pusoy dos. Strictly speaking, there should be only one winner (the first one to run out of cards) and 3 losers. But for the fun of it, we let the remaining three battle it out until there's only one loser(the one who shuffles hehehe).
Nonie, hanggang ngayon ba naman me Sting aftershocks ka pa?
Amanda, it's hard describing the game in an article. I'll email you or maybe I'll call you :D Haha!
Sounds like fun pero hindi na ata ako marunong maglaro ng pusoy dos. Nakalimutan ko na ata yang game na yan.

oh c'mon ppl, raise the stakes even for just a penny! i'm sure you all have a ton of pennies lying around. i remember when i used to work out in Chicago. it's so easy to accumulate all those pennies and dimes and even quarters but at least the quarters are easily used up but the pennies and dimes usually just pile up. i say gamitin sa pusoy-2!!! HEHEHE!!! HAHAHA!!! I don't even know your friends crissy but they seem like fun ppl to hang out with. good for you, girl!
